The ethos of Havin’ a Laugh is to promote participation in all forms of life-enhancing activities to improve personal mental health.
The activities best suited to you will depend on your own life experiences and preferences.
To make it easier to navigate all the potential activities available in the Northwest of Ireland we have categorised them into three general areas.

LET OFF STEAM
LET OFF STEAM is for when you’re feeling the need to exercise your demons or just burn off some stress in a healthy way.
These activities are suitable for people with a higher level of fitness, you may already be active at other sports and have an ‘up for anything’ attitude.Trying these activities for the first time or returning to a forgotten pastime can bring with it a sense of achievement and exhilaration.
LET OFF STEAM activities can include mountain biking, surfing, trail-running, skateboarding and mountain climbing.
DIP YOUR TOE
DIP YOUR TOE is for when you’re feeling the need to try something new and to break the monotony of your current routine.These activities are suitable for people with a basic level of fitness, you may suspect that its time to step out of your comfort zone or just want to experience nature from a new perspective.Trying one of these activities can bring with it a sense of awe and allow you time to be with yourself in a safe space indoors or out in nature.
DIP YOUR TOE activities can include yoga, stand up paddleboarding, kayaking, horse riding, swimming and hiking.

Kung Fu, Tai Chi, Lion Dance Performance & 1-1 Qi Gong
LET IT ALL GO
LET IT ALL GO IS FOR When you’re feeling the need to indulge yourself in something that directly benefits you.
These activities are suitable for all people of all fitness levels but may be more appealing to those with an artistic nature or those feeling the need to express some creativity.
LET IT ALL GO activities can include art/craft workshops, holistic treatments, life-coaching and meditation/mindfulness courses.
